Titre : The next steps : experiences and analysis of how to eradicate child labour Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Bjorne Grimsrud (ss la dir.), Auteur Editeur : FAFO Année de publication : 2002 Importance : 129 p Note générale : 05.01 GRI Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Enfants Tags : Emploi Travail Enfants Index. décimale : 05.01 Travail - Généralités Résumé : The focus of this anthology is the underlying causes and the long-term solutions to fighting child labour. The mix of analysis from field experiences and theoretical analysis is intended to show how, from both perspectives, consensus is emerging towards a wider development agenda in order to eliminate child labour. The anthology brings together examples of important changes in both practice and numbers of child labourers but also emphasises how little is still known about the effects of all the measures taken over the last decade.
The anthology begins by aiming to describe what is commonly meant by child labour and how this definition has changed as a result of two ILO Conventions and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The author emphasises that when seeking to eradicate child labour it is important to define which kind of child labour one is addressing. Three main types identified here are: parent-controlled, children working directly for someone outside of their household but living with parents, exploited children who have moved or been taken away from their household...The next steps : experiences and analysis of how to eradicate child labour [texte imprimé] / Bjorne Grimsrud (ss la dir.), Auteur . - Norway : FAFO, 2002 . - 129 p.

Titre : The why and how of working time reduction Type de document : document électronique Auteurs : Stan De Spiegelaere, Auteur ; Agnieszka Piasna, Auteur Editeur : ETUI Année de publication : 2017 Importance : 92 p Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Réduction du temps de travail Mouvements ouvriers Index. décimale : 05.01 Travail - Généralités Résumé : After decades of incremental reduction in working time, recent years have shown signs of a reversed evolution. In response, the labour movement has reasserted its historic aim gradually to reduce working time. This guide aims to contribute to this debate by discussing why working time reduction can be desirable and how it can be organised. It is obvious that the effectiveness of working time reduction depends on how it is implemented. The many options are discussed using real-life experiments to illustrate their effectiveness. The review of the motivations behind working time reduction, the various ways of implementing it and an examination of five short case studies provide the groundwork for a much-needed discussion on how best to design a future-proof reduction in working time.
