Europe Capitalisme Crises |
Résumé : |
The European model of capitalism is in the midst of an existential crisis. Not for the first time, it must be said. Europe was a virtual economic basket case after World War II, with per capita incomes and labor productivity in manufacturing barely half those in the United States. After a quarter century of growth, the continent succumbed to “Eurosclerosis,” with unemployment far in excess of American levels. Starting in the 1990s, Europe then lagged behind the United States in the development and adoption of information and communications technologies. |
