The European Trade Union College (ETUCO) was founded in 1990 by the European Trade Union Confederation to contribute further to the development of the European trade union movement. ETUCO has launched a European initiative on trade union education which includes a research framework to support comparative analysis that will inform policymaking at the European level. National patterns of education and training of workplace trade union representatives and issues of program content and pedagogy have been identified. This publication represents the outcomes of this work.
